Tag Heuer Connected: How would you like a combination of it? Today the company unveiled a new device during a presentation on New York, called Tag Heuer Connected. The company emphasized that this is not a traditional SmartWatch.
The screen of the device is 46 mm LCD made of 1,5 inch sapphire, and its "boat" is made of titanium. The screen resolution reaches 360 × 360, or to put it another way, it has a density of 240 ppi.
It should be mentioned that most new smartwatches are at least 260 ppi (the Samsung Gear S2 και το Apple Watch φτάνουν τα 300 ppi).
The watch can be adjusted to seven different rubber straps. Probably no one expected a rubber strap from a device that costs 1500 dollars, and certainly not from the name Tag Heuer.
The smart watch has no heart rate monitor, which is all used by SmartWatches. The battery life is referred to as an indefinite "all day". It is not waterproof and does not do for diving.
But it has almost all the other features of Android Wear. It is compatible with all watchfaces and applications. Interestingly, the clock uses an Intel processor, unlike any other using a Qualcomm chip.
The different of the new device, and what makes it stand out from its other kind, is that it looks like a traditional analog device. It can combine a technology product with a traditional Swiss Swiss watch.
