The company said in a statement: "At TalkTalk we take the safety of our customers very seriously and we have taken many steps to keep our customers safe. As part of our ongoing security effort, we are constantly monitoring our systems and processes; after further research into these reports, we have now discovered that a limited amount of non-sensitive information about some of our customers could have been leaked. ”
"We want to reassure our customers that information such as bank account information is not sensitive and that TalkTalk corporate customers are not affected."
There is currently no public leakage through an underground forum, although the violation should have occurred since December of 2014, as reported by Guardian.
