A new scam is circulating via email, and this time it's supposedly from the Tax Administration. The email looks plausible and says you have a tax refund.

Dear taxpayer,
After clearing your tax return for tax year 2026, a credit amount of €1.151,00 has been issued for refund. The amount is ready for credit to your bank account.

Of course, the link contained in the email will not take you to AADE, but to a page that resembles TAXISnet-myAADE and is hosted at share.google/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
The website they will take you to in case you believed that the Tax Office was handing out euros is a phishing page, specially designed to get you to give them your passwords, IBAN, or whatever else.
Although the press releases will range from very select to rare, I said I'd pass...because sometimes the editors hide.
