Who are they? Team Minders; In Sochi, Russia, where the recent Winter Olympics took place, 11 was held at the Olympics of Educational Robotics on "Robots and Space".
There, Greek students had the opportunity to prove their rich talent and scientific background, representing our country deserving of being able to distinguish themselves in a set of 100 participations from all over the world.
The creative thinking, the ability to handle all modern technologies and the team spirit of the Greek mission 'Team Minders' under the guidance of the coach Mr. Moraitis prevailed and gave the Greek students (Agoropoulos Stelios, Lessis Alexandros, Eleftheriadis Dimitris, Taoukis Iasonas and Zafeiris Orpheas) the 7th place in the Open category of the educational robotics competition.
Πρόκειται για μια σημαντική διάκριση καθώς ο διαγωνισμός WRO (World Robot Olympiad) δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε μαθητές από 8 – 18 ετών να κατανοήσουν τις Φυσικές Επιστήμες, την Τεχνολογία, τη Μηχανική και την Πληροφορική, επιτρέποντάς τους να εμπλακούν σε μία procedure solving a problem using all the modern robotics technologies available today.
The teams for the 2015 Olympics will be promoted by the 7 Pan-Hellenic Competition organized by the WRO Hellas (wrohellas.gr & FB / WRO Hellas) to cooperation with the Regional Directorates of Education of our country and is held next June, under the auspices of Ministryof Education.
The winners of each category (from the Primary to the High School) will renew their appointment for the next Robotic Olympics in Qatar, 2015.
