TeamViewer, a provider of remote connectivity and workplace digitization solutions, has announced that its connectivity solution is integrated into professional aerial drones provided by SB C&S (Softbank Commerce & Service).
TeamViewer software enables real-time sharing of aerial video and audio streams recorded by drone cameras on multiple devices connected remotely.
Cases of commercial use of this technology include, for example, joint infrastructure inspections, as well as joint aerial inspections of disaster sites or other sites that are difficult to access.
Through TeamViewer's solution, images or videos captured by drone cameras can be seamlessly transmitted to multiple remotely connected devices via a 4G or LTE mobile network. Also, images from devices such as infrared cameras for temperature measurements or LiDAR could be transmitted through the solution.
Katsumi Moriya, Vice President, Deputy Head of ICT Unit, Head of Cloud Services Promotion Division, SB C&S Cloud Services Unit, said:
"In recent years, there has been a growing need for remote control of real-time aerial footage shot by drones and for direct instructions to the operator."
“Real-time transmissions of aerial images allow people in different parts of the world to collaborate effectively on εξερεύνηση remote locations," said Sojung Lee, President APAC at TeamViewer.
“Although our solution works perfectly with 4G and LTE networks, global inttreatment of 5G networks will enable several additional use cases, with even higher resolutions image and greater amounts of data to be transmitted and shared in real time. We are pleased to work with our strong partner SB C&S to address the procalls and explore use cases for various customers from industry as well as public authorities”.
