The Facebook removed a restriction for users under the age of 18, which did not allow them to share their publications except with their friends and not with the whole network, according to a Reuters publication.
The social network reported that teenagers will now be able to change their settings and share their data with the public. To date, a teenager's posts on Facebook were visible only to his friends and friends of their friends.
The Facebook said late yesterday that the default setting ceased to exist.
"The teenagers who use them social media they're pretty aware, and all their posts about political engagement, activism, or their thoughts on a new movie can now be heard," Facebook announced.
