In a press release issued on January 21, the American company Tesla announced the expansion of its network chargingof electric cars in Europe.
Tesla says on its website that is set to open in Europe this week, several new electric car charging stations (Supercharger).
New outlets will be opened in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Their exact locations are posted on their site.
“These new stations will allow Model S customers to enjoy free, άνετα, 100 % ηλεκτρικά ταξίδια στους Γερμανικούς αυτοmobileroads and in destinations such as the Alps and elsewhere" says Tesla in its press release.
The company explains in a nutshell that 21 in January of 2014 will launch 81 new Supercharger stations around the world, and 14 will be in Europe.
Tesla, in its attempt to extol its action so far, says it has come a long way since it cut the ribbon on its first six Superchargers in California in September 2012. It estimates that, thanks to these facilities, electric vehicles have manage to cover the impressive figure of 11 million kilometers (about 6.830.000 miles). Besides that, energy provided by Tesla's Superchargers has prevented the burning of 1,13 million liters (0,29 million gallons) of natural gas.
