As everything seems to indicate that the secret service of the UK, GCHQ has some dirty tricks in her sleeve.
A new series of documents leaked from Snowden reveals that GCHQ secret services officers engage in some dirty tricks to destroy the reputation of some people.
The site Intercept of Glenn Greenwald says that while he has worked with NBC for the past few weeks to present a series of articles on UK information service tactics, there is much more to be said.
The JTRIG (Joint Research Threat Intelligence Group) is a secret GCHQ unit that seeks to "control, infiltrate, manipulate and distort online dialogues", effectively threatening the integrity of the Internet itself.
This unit fills the Internet with fraudulent material, and with elements that can destroy the reputation of its targets. A second purpose of this group is to use various means to handle dialogue through the internet to reach the desired result.
In leaked records, GCHQ, together with the National Security Service (NSA), is working closely together in several companies.
The service also puts forward a clear list of how to defame a particular goal. For example, agents could create a so-called "honey-trap" (a honey trap), a method you use to lure their goals, be it journalists, or diplomats or important people.
Another point in the GCHQ list is to change the photo of a target on social networking sites, and to create a blog that is supposed to be one of their victims. The last step is sending emails and SMS to colleagues, neighbors or friends of the target.
This tactic, when applied to defamation of a company, differs at some point. The list includes the continued leak of confidential information to companies and the media via blogs, or the publication of negative information on forums. Finally, they try to stop orders and destroy the business relationship of the target company.
The revelations draw a terrifying image of the extent to which secret services can destroy the reputation of their goals.
In another slide, GCHQ describes that JTRIG's purpose is to use it in online techniques to cause something to happen in the real or online world. This can be done through a technical shutdown or through information businesses, causing an effect or disruption.
It is obvious that every new transparency refers to techniques that do not refer to penetrating techniques in terrorist organizations, as claimed by secret services and governments. It is also obvious that the information circulated on the internet is of unknown origin and of doubtful purpose.
That's why it would be good to filter and cross-reference the information.
