If you want to install Windows 11 on a machine that doesn't meet Microsoft's requirements and also don't want to risk using a third-party modified Windows ISO, then check out Tiny11builder's solution.

Tiny11builder allows you to build your own tiny11 using tools provided by Microsoft.

Are you confused? Let's go a little more detailed. As the name suggests, tiny11builder comes from the developer who builds tiny11. It is a script for using official Microsoft utilities to remove unnecessary components and applications from Windows 11.

Here's what tiny11builder will do to a Windows 11 ISO file:

tiny11builder

  • It removes most built-in apps, but will allow them to be reinstalled if necessary (Cortana and Teams are still there, but you can remove them using winget).

  • Removes Microsoft Edge (a leftover icon still appears on the work).

  • Removes OneDrive.

  • Removes the requirement for TPM, 4GB of RAM and newer CPUs.

  • Removes Microsoft account requirement during OOBE (initial installation).

Here's what tiny11builder removes from stock Windows 11:
Clipchamp, News, Weather, Xbox (Xbox identity provider remains), GetHelp, GetStarted, Hub, Παιχνίδι Τράπουλα, PeopleApp, PowerAutomate, ToDo, Alarms, Ταχυδρομείο και Ημερολόγιο, Feedback Hub, Χάρτες, Ηχογράφηση, το Τηλέφωνό σας, Media Player, QuickAssist, Internet Explorer, υποστήριξη LA57, OCR για en-us, Υποστήριξη ομιλίας, TTS για en-us, Media Player Legacy, Tablet PC Math, Wallpapers, Edge, OneDrive.

Important: The only unofficial part of tiny11builder is an open source file, used to remove the Microsoft account requirement during OOBE. You can check this file to see how it works and what component it uses. Don't use it if you don't trust it.

Before proceeding, please note the following limitations of tiny11builder:

  • You can only use Windows 11 22621.525 (Windows 11 22H2), 22621.1265 (Windows 11 22H2 patched on Tuesday February 2023), or 25300 (the latest Dev build at the time of this writing). THE of tiny11builder to another version may not have the desired effect.

  • The project currently only supports x64 en-US ISO files. In Greek, where we tried it at first, it didn't work completely, but it removed the basics.
