Tor Project announced the launch of the Tor Point 6.5 first point release. The 6.5.1 version is the first maintenance version of 6.5.
Ο Tor Browser 6.5.1 seems to be a minor release coming up with new technologies such as the anonymous Tor 0.2.9.10, OpenSSL 1.0.2k, HTTPS-Everywhere 5.2.11, and Torbutton 1.9.6.14.
It also has the latest security updates recently released by the Mozilla Foundation for Firefox 45.8.0 ESR web browser.
The first maintenance version of Tor Browser 6.5 stable also fixes a bug that existed on the GNU / Linux platforms and was referred to as: "Using a system-installed Tor." It also updates various translations of other languages.
