Tor Browser 8.5 for Android Tara, the first stable release, is available through Google Play. The browser developers promise that we will soon see it on F-Droid, an alternative Android App Store.
Tor for Android "provides essentially the same protections that can be found on desktop platforms" although there are some "feature gaps" according to a post in the official blog of Tor.
