TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot bad news for game crackers

As you probably know Windows 11 will be released on October 5 and will require newer processors with TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot features enabled.

Microsoft has confirmed that users can try Windows 11 on older damn, but they won't be supported with from the company. The Windows 11 system includes 8th generation processors, AMD Ryzen 2000 or later. In addition to newer processors, you'll also need TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled.Gaming

TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is a security software installed on your computer and designed to provide “hardware-based security features. According to Microsoft, the malware cannot affect the TPM's security functions and is also very effective at encryption.

But let's see what happened. Following the release of Windows 11 Build 22000.176 and Build 22449, some users reported that they could not play Riot Games Valorant.

As shown in the image below, Riot Games Valorant does not run on unsupported Windows 11 computers that do not have TPM (Trusted Platform Module) 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled.

Riot Games recently updated the Vanguard anti-cheat system that requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot in Windows 11. Vanguard anti-cheat software is packed with powerful anti-cheat software that monitors processes running in the background even if you are not playing Valorant.

In a tweet, Microsoft he clarified also the error message has nothing to do with the Windows 11 preview update.

It is worth noting that Riot will not be the only company that will require TPM to protect its software. Soon all popular anti-cheat software like Fortnite Easy Anti-Cheat will start using TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot in Windows 11.

Bad news for crackers, until of course the right person is found.
