Trend Micro Rescue Disk lets you use a CD, DVD, or USB drive to test your computer without starting Windows.
Detects and removes persistent or nasty security threats that may be hidden deep inside your operating system.
Rescue Disk does not need to load system files that may have been infected into memory before attempting to remove them. It can scan hidden files, system drivers (drivers) and Master Boot Record (MBR) of your computer hard drive without damaging the operating system.
Download and save the Trend Micro Rescue Disk to your desktop (link at the end of the post).
You will need a blank CD or DVD (do not use a rewritable disc), or a blank USB (128MB or larger)
When the file is downloaded, double-click the Trend Micro Rescue Disk icon to start the installer.
To boot your computer from the CD or DVD, you need to set the BIOS to boot from a different device. While the exact procedure varies from computer to computer, but usually as follows:
Insert the disc or USB into the computer.
Restart the computer.
When the computer restarts, look for a BIOS setup message, which often looks like "Press [KEY] to run Setup" where [KEY] can be one of the keys, DEL, ESC or one of the F1 - F12 keys depending on your computer.
Once the BIOS Setup Utility opens, look for a tab labeled Boot, Boot Order, or Boot Options.
