Η Trend Micro presented its threat report for the third quarter of 2013. The study reports on cybercrime, mobile threats, privacy and theft data, vulnerabilities, as well as targeted attacks.
The report reveals that the number of Internet infections with Trojan developed for the theft of bank accounts has increased significantly compared to the corresponding period of 2012. In total, over 200.000 infections of this type were observed Trojan during the 3 quarter 2013, compared to 132.000 that was recorded in the 3 quarter of 2012.
Variants of ZeuS were the most prevalent malware. The countries where the most cases were observed were the United States (23%), Brazil (16%), the Japan (12%), η Ινδία (6%) και η Australia (3%).
