Ever wondered if the UK intelligence service, GCHQ, has intervened in your life? If so, you can find out today thanks to an online campaign launched by Privacy International (PI). The PI campaign, rather, aims to make the lives of some very difficult…
Το IPT επιβλέπει τις υπηρεσίες ασφαλείας, και τους ζητεί να επιβεβαιώσουν εάν τα προσωπικά σας στοιχεία περιλαμβάνονται σε μια τεράστια base of information held by UK security services.
According to Privacy International, the court has a legal obligation to inform you if these details are included in the secret services databases.
The goal seems to be, in general, evidence that GCHQ's dragnet does not only include terrorists who are subject to government espionage.
There are two caveats: one, is that by filing the lawsuit that the PI will carry out on your behalf, you should be prepared to be involved in a long process, and second, even if you are not listed, you are delivering the your details to security services.
Nevertheless, Privacy International's move will load all relevant and eblueservices, with too much bureaucratic work, indicating that data collection should not be done so sloppily and without any limits.
