Tuesday Patch today for Microsoft operating users. The company has released a total of 16 security updates to fix software and operating problems. Updates are for Internet Explorer and Edge browsers, Office, and Exchange Server.
There are 5 critical security updates in this Tuesday Patch and obviously IT users and administrators are advised to update their systems immediately.
If you are still using Microsoft browsers (Edge in Windows 10 or Internet Explorer in any version of Windows), you will need to directly install MS16-063 and MS16-068, which according to the company are cumulative updates for IE and Edge, respectively. Both are aimed at fixing bugs that allow remote code execution by a malicious user, as well as imperfections that allow it to acquire the same rights as the logged-in user.
IT administrators using Windows Server should immediately install MS16-071, an update that is supposed to fix a vulnerability on the Microsoft DNS server that has been rated critical.
Security experts warn that everyone should install this update as soon as possible on their servers.
Just like all other updates, they are available through Windows Update, regardless of the version of Windows you use.
