Live Video on Facebook is currently in trial version and accessible to a limited number of users. But all other simple mortals can see these transmissions.
So every time a page or a friend you follow on Facebook begins to broadcast one Live video (and if it belongs to the testing team) you will receive a notification so you can watch it.
In addition, Facebook assumes that you are interested in watching various things video around the world and so it automatically suggests what it thinks suits you. The point is that live videos are not yet refined, they are in testing, and so many people are not interested in watching them and are annoyed by the constant notifications, whether they are from friends or strangers that Facebook suggests.
The good news is, Facebook has a setting to disable these alerts. Below you can see how.
1. Connect to account your Facebook and click on the drop down arrow δίπλα στο κουμπί λουκέτο στην επάνω δεξιά γωνία της lineof title. Select “Settings” from the menu that opens.
2. On the Settings screen, click 'Notifications' in the left column. Alert Settings allows you to customize what events to receive notifications for.
3. Click the "Edit" button next to the "On Facebook" setting.
4. In the new menu that will pop up scroll down and find “Live Video” (it's towards the end), click the 'Enable' button and select “Disable All” (or “Disable Suggestions”).
The "Disable suggestions" option will prevent Facebook from suggesting live videos for you to watch, but will still notify you when a friend or page you follow makes a broadcast. The option "Disable all" we think is quite clear.
You do not currently have the ability to disable notifications on mobile apps, but we expect the setting to be expanded soon.
