Twitter has evolved significantly since its inception in 2006. So it should come as no surprise that Twitter lists are also being used for malicious purposes, so it is worth checking out if you are using any.
Η mode Twitter Lists, introduced in 2009, allows users to group a collection of accounts so that tweets them to appear together in a separate feed, without posts from excluded profiles. It is a very useful tool for those who do not want for example politics to mix in their timeline, but want to see news only from K. Mitsotakis.
Unfortunately, there is another use for lists, from Twitter trolls. These guys are known to use Twitter Lists to gather users, which facilitates targeted harassment.
How to see which Twitter lists you are on.
Open Twitter.
Click or click "Lists" in the navigation bar on the left. If you use a mobile phone, you can open the navigation bar by clicking on your profile picture in the upper left corner.
Click or tap on “…” in the upper right corner, which will open a menu.
From this menu, select "Lists you are in".
Twitter will show you all the lists that others have added to you. Hopefully this is a list that will make you proud or at least reveal how some of the Twitter trolls find you.
Of course, you may also not be on any Twitter list. It may be a little heartbreaking, but in this case, it's probably better.
