Twitter with phishing to company employees yesterday's violations

After breaking many accounts high profile on Twitter, the company said it believed it all started with a "coordinated social engineering attack".

"We have identified what we believe to be a coordinated social engineering attack targeting our employees with access to internal systems and tools." Reported The company.

"We know they used this access to take control of many extremely famous (and verified) accounts and tweet on their behalf. We look at what other malicious activity they may have carried out or what information they may have gained from access. ”

Twitter reported that as soon as it located the incidents, it immediately locked all the affected accounts and removed the tweets posted by the attackers.

The company went on to confirm that it has limited functionality to more accounts, even those that do not appear to have been compromised, as it continues its investigations.

"It's annoying, but it's an important step in reducing the risk. "Most of the functions have been restored, but we may take further action and we will let you know if we do," the company said. The Best Technology Site in Greecefgns
