From April 1st, Twitter terminated the old verification program and accounts verified according to the previous criteria will not retain the blue badge unless they are registered with Twitter Blue.
Subscribers must meet the following eligibility criteria to receive or retain the blue badge. Only accounts registered with Twitter Blue will be able to receive the blue badge.

Twitter uses eligibility criteria for when to flag to ensure the integrity of the platform (according to the company). Your account must meet the following criteria to receive or retain the blue verification badge:
- Your account must have a display name and profile photo
- Active Use: Your account must be active for the past 30 days to sign up for Twitter Blue
- Security: Your account must be older than 30 days after registration and have a verified phone number
- Your account must not have recent changes to your profile photo, display name, or username (@handle)
- Your account must not have any indication of misleading content
- Your account must be free of signs of participation in platform manipulation and spam
The verification check mark will appear once the social network team checks the registered Twitter Blue account for eligibility.
In accordance with the Twitter Terms of Service, including the Buyer Terms, Twitter may remove the verification flag from an account at any time without notice.
“To minimize confusion and promote integrity on the platform, changes to the profile photo, display name, or username (@handle) will result in a temporary loss of the verification badge until the account is reverified and still meets the requirements. No changes to your profile picture, display name or username will be allowed during the review.”
If you agree with the above and still want to get the blue verification checkmark, you can from here.
