Twitter/X Why We Should Let It Go (And Fast)

If you're on Twitter/X, you may have noticed an exodus of high-profile accounts. And no, it's not just about the election.twitter-x

This output is due to a new Terms of Service document, which is set to as of today, November 15. Although the company isn't talking about it, the new Terms of Service gives owner Elon Musk the right to use your tweets, photos and videos to train his AI bot, which he calls Grok.

The option to opt out of Grok training, which users currently have, may still exist in your settings, but it doesn't matter, legally, because the new terms (which you must accept to use service) do not mention anything about opting out users. So even if your account is locked it doesn't seem to matter.

Oh yeah, and following other users will no longer be free. If your account has access to more than a million tweets per day, be ready for a $15.000 payout. Even the most die-hard Twitter users won't reach that number, but many researchers do.

Disagree with anything in these new terms of service or other future changes?

According to the ToS, (Terms of Service) the only solution is to fight the world's richest man in a Texas state court, many miles away from X's headquarters in Austin. This completely coincidental it's a court where a judge owns a bunch of Tesla stock and has already issued several favorable rulings for Musk.
