A few weeks ago, the United States government paid a fine of 50 million dollars for piracy of military software used for unit accounting. After this news, a soldier serving in Qatar complained to TorrentFreak that many of its base computers are running illegal copies of Windows 7. To prove the fact, he released several photos.
"I feel the army should be honest and accountable for what it does," he said.
The soldier, referred to by TorrentFreak as “Mark”, stated that his base is a hub educationand has 18 computers all running non-genuine copies of Windows 7.
Computers have been in this state for quite some time space, according to the soldier, and as he stated he is not aware of any efforts to change anything.
