Ubiquiti unauthorized access to the company's server

Η , a company that provides networking tools for those who want their Wi-Fi to be completely under their control, told its customers that key account information may have been leaked.

According to an email y sent to users of its devices today, a “third party cloud provider” gave access to an unauthorized user and some of the customer data may have been leaked.

The company clearly states that it has not found evidence that data of its users have been leaked, according to: "it is not certain that the data of users has not been exposed".

However, it would be good to change your password immediately.

It does not sound as bad as a violation at the moment, but it is annoying to hear from a company that prides itself on watching its users.

The full text of the email, which has been published and in the Ubiquiti forum, states:

We recently realized unauthorized access to some of the IT systems hosted by a third party cloud provider. We have no indication that there has been any unauthorized activity in connection with any user account.

We are currently not aware of any evidence indicating unauthorized access to δεδομένων που φιλοξενούν δεδομένα χρηστών, και δεν μπορούμε να είμαστε σίγουροι ότι τα δεδομένα των χρήστών έχουν εκτεθεί.

As a precaution, we recommend that you change your password. We also recommend that you change your password on any site that uses the same user ID or password. Finally, we recommend that you enable two-factor authentication on your Ubiquiti accounts if you have not already done so.

We apologize and deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused you. We take the security of your information very seriously and value your continued trust.
