Canonical today released several security updates for Ubuntu 15.10 and Ubuntu 15.10 for Raspberry Pi 2. All updates are upgrading the operating system kernel.
Specifically, they repair a total of five vulnerabilities στον πυρήνα που ανακαλύφθηκαν από διάφορους hackers.
The first security flaw was discovered in the Linux kernel OverlayFS file system, which allows a local attacker to become root.
The second theme again concerns the Linux kernel's OverlayFS file system, which again allows a local attacker to escalate his privileges.
The third security issue concerns the way the kernel imposes the rlimits. The error allowed local attackers to carry out DoS (Denial-of-Service) attacks.
The fourth vulnerability discovered in the Linux kernel FUSE (Filesystem in Userspace). The vulnerability again allowed a local attacker to perform DoS attacks.
The latest security flaw was discovered in the Linux LookKeeBlue TLB (Translation Lookaside Buffer) of the Linux kernel and could allow sensitive information leakage or DoS (denial-of-service) attacks.
Canonical urges all Ubuntu users to instantly update their computers and devices.
After the updates are installed, a restart is required.
