Ubuntu 17.04 Zesty Zapus: Just a few minutes ago, Canonical and Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth announced the code name of the next large version of the Ubuntu Linux operating system.
We are now talking about the Ubuntu 17.04 version, codenamed Zesty Zapus. While some are still in procedure installations of the new Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak), the Ubuntu development team has started working on Ubuntu 17.04. The upcoming distribution will be another regular release of the Linux operating system that will be supported for 9 months.
But what exactly is Zapus? Well, according to Wikipedia, it's a North American mouse genus, and according to the creators of Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) it's expected to be a fast and flexible GNU/Linux distribution. Also, according to Mark Shuttleworth, it looks like Ubuntu is moving even faster in the center of work in the cloud.
At the moment no one knows exactly when the new one will be released functional Ubuntu 17.04 system and what new features it will contain.
At the moment, we can say it will be released sometime in April 2017, until a normal development cycle consisting of two Alpha and two Beta releases is completed.
