Adam Conrad has announced the release of the first beta version of the upcoming Ubuntu 18.10, codenamed “Cosmic Cuttlefish”. The first beta is available for everyone who wants to try the upcoming operating system of Canonical.
The flavors are Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu:

Ubuntu 18.10 beta brings recent GNU/Linux applications. It uses the latest Linux 4.18, the GNOME 3.30 desktop environment, and has updated applications (Firefox 62.0 and LibreOffice 6.1).
