The upcoming Ubuntu 19.04 will be called Disco Dingo, and of course the accompanying logo has been designed accordingly.
The logo uses linear art depicting a dingo (wild dog from Australia) looking up and wearing headphones because it's probably a DJ. If it's not a DJ, it's definitely a Disco Dingo.
Every version of Ubuntu comes with a very strange name consisting of an adjective and an animal. THE delivery means that each new version of the OS comes with its own distinct personality and design.
To help promote each release, Canonical's designers prepare a new desktop wallpaper along with new official picture mascot.
The upcoming Disco Dingo logo uses polygon-like lines and neon 80s.
So if you are using the older version of the operating system and you are used to the cosmic cuttlefish curves (Cosmic Cuttlefish), the change may seem refreshing to abrupt.
