Canonical has released the first beta release of the upcoming Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan Ermine operating system, which will be released later this fall.
The development of Ubuntu 19.10 (Eoan Ermine) began in end of April with the toolchain upgrading shortly after the release of the Disco Dingo 19.04 (Disco Dingo) operating system on 23 April. Now, five months later, the first beta is available for testing.
Ubuntu 19.10 continues to be developed by Alpha builds released earlier, so beta versions are now available for community testing before its official release. Ubuntu beta versions are usually fairly stable for everyday use.
The Eoman Ermine release brings new features and new GNU / Linux technologies, such as the new Linux 5.2 kernel, the GNOME 3.34 desktop environment, the LibreOffice 6.3 software, the Mozilla Firefox 69 browser and more.
