A new version of Ubuntu 22.04 has been announced, along with its community releases. The announcement states:
“The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the release of Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (Long-Term Support) for Desktop, Server and Cloud products, as well as other flavors of Ubuntu with long-term support.
Typically, this point release includes many updates and brings updated installation media so that fewer updates need to be downloaded after a fresh installation.
They include updates security and fixes for others errors of high severity, with an emphasis on maintaining stability and compatibility with Ubuntu LTS 22.04.
Version 22.04.2 also brings RISC-V platform support, providing new images for LicheeRV and PolarFire Icicle Kit boards.
The publications Kubuntu 22.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Budgie 22.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu MATE 22.04. 2 LTS, Ubuntu Kylin 22.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Studio 22.04.2 LTS and Xubuntu 22.04.2 LTS are also available.”
