Η Canonical announced its release Ubuntu 23.04 codenamed Lunar Lobster. The new version will be supported for nine months and features the GNOME 44 desktop.
This release also brings a new system installer Subiquity that replaces the old Ubiquity installer.

The desktop uses GNOME 44 to ensure usability for everyone.”
