Unicef (United Nations Children's Fund), or otherwise the Fund for the children of the United Nations, is asking for the help of gamers everywhere to help the children from Syria.
The Syrian civil war has raged for nearly seven years and killed tens of millions of people. The survivors of the violent conflict and especially the children, either remained in their country displaced and helpless or left to become refugees. With the basic ones services of the country to have collapsed, the survivors need it support of the international community just to survive.
The United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) believes that gamers around the world can help by collecting digital coins.
On February 2, the head of the proletterof humanitarian aid started the Game Chaingers -a fundraising initiative that aims to use blockchain technology to raise funds money για τα παιδιά της Συρίας.
To create the new digital currencies through a process known as "mining," users dedicate their computers to doing complex math in order to trade the services them with some cryptocurrency. The powerful graphics cards that gamers use to run the latest games satisfactorily are well suited to perform these tasks.
The Game Chaingers initiative is the result partnership between UNICEF and the French Advertising Agency BETC.
Players who want to participate should go to his website Game Chaingers, να εγκαταστήσουν το program εξόρυξης Claymore, και να αφήσουν την κάρτα γραφικών τους να κάνει τη δουλειά. Τα μηχανήματά τους θα συμβάλλουν στην υπάρχουσα Ethermine mining, and payments will be made to UNICEF. Like any good video game, Game Chaingers will keep track of player statistics. According to UNICEF, so far 513 miners have increased the amount over € 1.400, and users named "ANTONYMOUS" are at the top of the charts having done the most work.
Users can of course also donate directly to Unicef in cash or cryptocurrency, instead of spending electricity for thetreatment cryptocurrency. Game Chaingers is part of a wider trend of charities and non-profits using blockchain technology to help people.
