Hackers breached University of Maryland systems and obtained data belonging to more than 300.000 people associated with the university and its College Park and Shady Grove campuses.
Details of the details of the faculty, students and various collaborators have been exposed by this security breach. The stolen data includes Social Security numbers, names, dates of birth and university IDs, according to the ehackingnews.
The attackers managed to gain access to a base data it contains information dating back to 1998. .Other than stealing the data, the hackers didn't do any damage to the server that hosted the website.
