Kodi is a cross platform application Home Theater that will surprise you. The new Kodi 16.1 version can also run on Android TV, and supports remote controls that come with TVs running Android that have a button menu. 
The new Kodi 16.1 update allows you to avoid caching add-ons directories, brings improvements to DirectX rendering, does not skip video chapters, missing libgif.so library added to packet for Android.
Many bugs that existed from the previous version were also fixed. Changes to Kodi 16.1 “Jarvis” point release, are detailed in the changelog at the end of the article.
