Vault 7: Wikileaks just released a massive database of confidential documents that could be the largest leakage ever made by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The leak is the "first installment" of Wikileaks "codenamed Vault 7" files that focus on CIA internal covert operations, such as espionage protocols and hacking investigations.
Julian Assange had planned to present the leak today at a press conference he announced earlier yesterday. Unexpected issues with Assange's live streaming through the Facebook platform prompted him to move forward with a plan extraordinary of necessity, releasing 8.700 confidential documents – despite canceling the press conference.

The first leaks give us a confidential insight into the CIA tactics in global hacking and cybercrime.

The first complete part of the series, Year Zero, consists of 8.761 documents and files from an isolated, high-security network located inside the CIA Cyber Intelligence Center in Langley, Virginia. It contains revelations when the CIA targeted French political parties and candidates on their way to the 2012 presidential election.
Recently, the CIA has lost control of the majority of its arsenal for hacking including malware, viruses, trojans, weaponized “zero day” exploits, remote login malware and related documentation. This extraordinary collection, amounting to several hundred million lines of code, gives its owner the full range of CIA hacking capabilities.”

"Year Zero" shows the scope and direction of the CIA's global hacking, the malware arsenal that has dozens of "zero days" used against a wide range of American and European products. The iPhone Apple's, Google's Android and Microsoft's Windows and even its televisions Samsung, Are being converted to disguised microphones.
In addition to the documents revealing the techniques used by the CIA to control and steal data from smartphones and other mobile devices, leaks appear to indicate that the service has developed potentially lethal technologies that allow remote control of both land and air vehicles. We should also mention control on medical devices.
The volume of documents leaked from Vault 7 already exceeds the first three years of Edward Snowden's leaks for the NSA.
Information from the period between 2013 and 2016 is revealed, and the first part focuses on recent events.
