VideoLAN, maker of the popular VLC Media Player which is available for various operating systems (desktop and cell phones), has just released the final version of VLC 3.0. The final version has not been announced yet, nor is it available on the official website.
The company has released a total of eight candidate builds (RCs) to fix various things issues before final release.
VLC version 3.0.0 brings big changes: it supports Chromecast, new audio and video formats like HDR, HTTP 2.0, it comes with redesigned core components, and with many improvements to all existing ones functions.
