VideoLAN, the maker of the popular VLC Media Player available for various desktop and mobile operating systems, plans to release the final version of VLC 3.0 to the public soon.
The new version of the application appears to be already on the official FTP server, but it hasn't been officially announced yet.
The company released a total of eight candidate builds to fix several issues before the final release.
The VLC 3.0.0 version brings great changes: it supports Chromecast, new audio and video formats such as HDR, HTTP 2.0, comes with redesigned key features, and with many improvements to all existing features.
