VideoLAN, maker of the popular VLC media Player available for various operating systems (desktop and mobile), plans to release the final one soon version VLC 3.0 to the public.
The new version of the application appears to be already on the official FTP server, but it hasn't been officially announced yet.
The company released a total of eight candidates builds to correct various issues before final release.
VLC 3.0.0 brings big changes: it supports Chromecast, new audio formats and video, such as HDR, HTTP 2.0, comes with redesigned core elements, and with many improvements to all existing functions.
