VideoLAN, the manufacturer of the popular VLC Media Player available for various operating systems (desktop and mobile), plans to release the final VLC 3.0 version to the public soon.
The new version of the application appears to be already on the official FTP server, but it hasn't been officially announced yet.
The company released a total of eight candidates builds to correct various issues before final release.
VLC version 3.0.0 brings big changes: supports Chromecast, new audio and video formats like HDR, HTTP 2.0, comes with redesigned basic data , and with many improvements to all existing features.
