Visa facilitated the distribution of child pornography

This law prohibits illegal, unfair or fraudulent business practices and any payment practices for child pornography.

In his ruling, Carney ruled that Visa engaged in a criminal conspiracy with MindGeek to monetize child pornography.

Specifically, he stated that:

“Η Visa γνώριζε ότι οι ιστότοποι της MindGeek κέρδιζαν χρήματα από παιδική πορνογραφία”, ότι υπήρχε μια “ποινική συμφωνία για οικονομικά οφέλη από παιδικό πορνό που μπορεί να συναχθεί από την απόφαση [της Visa] να συνεχίσει να αναγνωρίζει την MindGeek σαν έμπορο παρά το γεγονός ότι φέρεται να γνώριζε ότι η εταιρεία είχε σημαντικά from child pornography.”

It further states that "the court may conclude that Visa intended to assist MindGeek in monetizing child pornography by knowingly providing the which was used to complete the crime".
