Vivaldi 2.12 with new Tracking Blocker function

A new Vivaldi browser developer snapshot brings extra options for secure privacy.

Today's version 2.12.1838.3 includes the Tracker Blocker, as well as some improvements made to the Spatial Navigation function.

Vivaldi started as with the promise of bringing you a highly customizable, fully functional, cutting-edge browser. It seems that the developers are trying to keep their promises, as there is currently no other browser on the market that offers so many options and features.

Vivaldi app is built by its engine , οι χρήστες στόχος είναι οι power users. Ο περιηγητής Vivaldi δημιουργήθηκε από τον πρώην συνιδρυτή της εφαρμογής Opera και αναπτύχθηκε έχοντας κατά νου τη χρηστικότητα και τη δύναμη του Opera browser.

Vivaldi is now working with DuckDuckGo and uses the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials extension list. This list excludes most of the known trackers without any problems appearing on the sites. It is based on DuckDuckGo Tracker Radar, which crawls the web constantly searching for and tracking trackers on important sites.

This feature is not enabled by default in this dev snapshot, so you will need to enable it to try it out. Visit a site and click the new shield icon to the left of the URL to turn off site tracking.

The new app also brings another new option to the – Privacy – Blocker – Tracking Blocker. Enable Block Tracker on all websites so that it is enabled by default across the web.

This will allow you to use the shield icon to disable (or enable) site tracking.

In addition to the above, Vivaldi has added another feature called "Spatial Navigation". Allows the user to browse websites with his keyboard by holding down "Shift" and using the arrow keys. If you want to try out the new Spatial Navigation, you can enable it from: Settings - Webpages - Spatial Navigation.
