Vivaldi Technologies has released a new update for its browser. Version 6.6 is available and brings some improvements, along with support for Mail Search, Translate, and Web Panels with extension support.
According to the developers, together with their translation service partner Lingvanex, they significantly improved the performance of Vivaldi Translate, a translation service with support for 108 languages. They also significantly improved translation quality for some key languages.
Another change in Vivaldi 6.6 is improvements to the functionality of Web Panels. Vivaldi's built-in features are available in the Panels bar. You've always been able to extend Vivaldi by adding any webpage as a Web Panel, but now you can extend the functionality using full support for Chrome extensions.
Your favorite extensions now work inside Web Panels. You can add popular sites like Spotify and WhatsApp and extend their functionality using extensions available from the Chrome Web Store. Vivaldi is compatible with most Chrome extensions.
You can download Vivaldi 6.6 from the official website. The program is available for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. An iOS version is also in the works, but it's currently in beta.
