Everything is a Windows search application developed by Voidtools.
The application offers fast file-finding (find-as-you-type) and can start automatically when Windows starts.
We had the idea for a closer look at the possibilities of the application after the comment of the reader of iGuRu.gr, AlexQx.
The tiny, free application quickly creates a database that contains all your folders (not their contents).
Search results as mentioned above appear as you type and those who know can perform advanced searches using wildcards, boolean operators and regular expressions.
Those who do not know what the above is can do regular searches such as "iguru jpg". The search will quickly show you any file starting with "iguru" and ending with "jpg."
You can double-click on each search result and you'll see the action you're allowed to take, such as opening a Word document or copyingtreatment of a video file. With right click you can open the folder, rename it or perform other actions. You can also move files found in search results to other locations, just as you would from an Explorer window.
By default, the Everything search engine runs at system startup and searches the disk where the system is installed. The application also offers search capabilities on FTP/HTTP servers, which are also running one copy by Everything.
This allows you to search for and download files through the Everything Search program installed on the remote server. The choice may sound convenient, but it is quite dangerous for safety if you do not know what you are doing. It is advisable not to enable any of the server functions.
The main executable of the program is Everything.exe and it consumes CPU in percent smaller of one percent, while uses about 21 MB of RAM. The installation package generally installs about 24 files.
This means that anyone can run the application, even those who do not have administrator privileges.

I downloaded it in Portable format and I do my job without burdening (even in the slightest) my system.
