Volkswagen has revealed a leakage data breach affecting more than 3,3 million customers.

Volkswagen immediately informed the competent authorities of the violation.
The company states that its customers should be very careful about upcoming phishing messages that will use leaked data.
Volkswagen is reportedly investigating the incident with outside security experts, and is awaiting the findings.
“Audi and Volkswagen are working with cyber security experts to assess and respond to this situation. At the same time, they have taken measures to deal with the issue", they report Companies.
