A court in the Czech Republic has issued an unusual verdict for a warez pirate who was uploading copyrighted material in his forum.
The protagonist of this story is a young man named Jakub F, who in the last few years was raising warez forums of various kinds of illegal software and music.

Ο Jakub F προσήρθε στο δικαστήριο και μετά από μια σύντομη δίκη καταδικάστηκε σε τριετή φυλάκιση με αναστολή, μαζί με seizure of his computer.
Unfortunately, BSA's lawyers did not stop here, and they made financial claims for damages against Jakub of € 351.000,00.
The judge did not agree with the way BSA's lawyers calculated compensation, but before they can reject their claims, BSA and Jakub agreed to cover the damages.
This agreement, according to TorrentFreak, required Jakub to record a short video in which he should have recounted his life as a warez software pirate.
In addition, to get rid of the obligation to pay € 351.000,00 as a fine, Jakub's video should reach 200.000 views on YouTube.
At the time of writing this article, the video had 396,125 views, which means it overcame the hardship of financial compensation. This number of views made it within 5 days after his video has been uploaded to Youtube since November 22.
