Specifically, an anonymous presenter in the videos demonstrates how the "modern" interface marries the traditional: the Start tile on the new start screen incorporates applications από το desktop και έτσι ο χρήστης δεν χρειάζεται να επιλέξει Start (πλήκτρο ή εικονίδιο στην Start Screen) για να μεταβεί στο desktop και από εκεί να αναζητήσει τις εφαρμογές που τρέχουν στην παραδοσιακή επιφάνεια εργασίας (π.χ. Word, Excel, Dropbox κ.ά.).
Also, each live tile does not only bring the current ones updates but it unfolds and shows each update in a line (e.g. list of e-mails), from which the user with a tap can see the update (e.g. the specific mail), close the application (of the mail) and return to the updates of the live tile that was previously located.
Ακόμα, τα interactive live tile λειτουργούν τα ίδια ως app, αφού για παράδειγμα στο βίντεο φαίνεται η αναπαραγωγή μουσικής και η playlist από το tile.
You can see the summary video of the changes that Microsoft researchers seem to have made to the traditional TechFest event, but this does not mean that what is recorded in the 2-minute video will actually be adopted in the next Windows.

Πάντως, από καιρό συζητιέται ότι τον Απρίλιο του 2015 θα γίνουν παρελθόν τα Windows 8 με τα Windows 9 και μια τουλάχιστον από τις αλλαγές που επιδεικνύονται στο «lost» βίντεο έχει ήδη αναφερθεί: Στην γνωστή ως “Threshold” επόμενη έκδοση των Windows (ή Windows 9), το μενού “έναρξη” επιστρέφει (πραγματικά αυτή τη φορά) και the user gets the ability to run applications that have "Metro style" on the traditional desktop, the so-called Windows Desktop. In the video, the presenter describes the changes to Start Interactive Live Tile as the main entry in "Windows Next"
