What does Google plan to buy robotic companies?

Από το Δεκέμβριο του περασμένου έτους, η Google έχει αγοράσει τουλάχιστον έξι construction or creating technologies used to develop robotics.

Google's former Google Android chief executive, Andy Rubin, has made a list of these companies:

  • Redwood for robot arms
  • Holomni for robot wheels
  • Bot & Dolly robotics cameras
  • Boston Dynamics for creepy moving robots
  • DeepMind Technologies for artificial intelligence
  • Meka Robotics for humanoid robots

What is Google's vision?
We will quote an earlier statement by DeepMind's Shane Legg: "Ultimately, I think human extinction is likely to happen, and technology is likely to play a big role in that."

And morality? Everything is sacrificed on the altar of profit?

Ο Nick Bostrom, a futurist for humanity at the University of Oxford Institute, says:

"If, in the future, a machine surpasses us in intelligence, and is powerful enough to potentially shape the future and decide whether or not there will be more people, we will have to create the initial conditions for what exactly are the conditions for this machine to be human friendly. ”

"People ridicule scenarios that want humanity to be finished off by machines. I don't think we can afford to ignore these things or laugh about them," said Gary Marcus, professor of psychology at of New York.

We know Google's interest in self-driving cars , but her plan with the robots is quite vague and perhaps challenging.
