Nobody, of course, admits it, but the dislike is almost universal. So the company announced it will stop Sponsored Stories. The statements have been made and the company will not make any new ones. However, there are already several lawsuits that push the company to remove that feature from its ads.

Sponsored Stories have angered many who don't want their name used to promote someone . Για το λόγο αυτό το Institute of Computer Law (IBDI) της Βραζιλίας, κατέθεσε μήνυση και ζητάει 33 εκατομμύρια δολάρια από το κοινωνικό because this particular type of advertising violates the privacy of users.

“The use of the name and photo of users of the social network for business purposes, without any to them or any share of advertising sales profits represents unfair trade practices and misleading customer service,” IBDI lawyer Sérgio Palomares told ZDNet.

IBDI additionally asks Facebook to disable these ads in addition to the compensation it has to pay to its users.

Remind that Facebook paid 2012, 10 million dollars to users who filed a US lawsuit on the legality of ads.

The lawsuit, of course, does not mean anything to the gossip company, as the revenue it receives such a fine looks like a funny amount.
