A few days ago we had posted Anonymous' s announcement of #OpMaryville in response to the Maryville rape case. The hacktivist group's announcement was classically accompanied by a video which stated the reasons they decided to carry out Operation Maryville. After a while we noticed that YouTube had deleted the video.
The video for #OpMaryville was rather difficult for some, but it was not misleading, or was it? For YouTube it seems to be extremely misleading.
The small town of 12.000 residents seemed to be harassed with video and not so much that there is a rape victim and her family while her rapists are free. Before his withdrawal from YouTube, the video had over 130.000 views.
What causes concern is that YouTube it didn't download the video because of something infringements "YouTube's policy on spam, fraud and unfair business practices."
“Since when is a rape victim spam, scam and unfair business practices?” wonders crypt0nymous, who uploaded the video. Good question.
Although it is not clear which part of the video caused the censorship of YouTube, the description of the video may be risky but it certainly does not contain unfair business practices. He described the Maryville incident as an "attempted murder", possibly because the alleged rapists left the victim outside in very low temperatures while he could not walk. Perhaps the video was censored because it involved the Missouri government spokesman Rex Barnett, whose grandson is one of the alleged rapists, as reported by DailyDot.

If Maryville does not defend these young girls, if the police are very cowardly or corrupt to do their job, if the judicial system has left you, then we have to stand. Mayor Jim Fall, your hands are dirty. Maryville, wait for us.
