The crowdsourced online encyclopedia presents the highlights of 2014, the FIFA World Cup, the Indian elections, and the Ice Bucket challenge for the Ebola virus in West Africa. The video is 3 minutes long.
The clip was commissioned by the Foundation, and published by Victor Grigas. The photos and video in general are licensed free of charge by Wikipedia, which contributes them worldwide.
In addition to highlighting the biggest moments of 2014, the foundation also celebrates the spirit pluswork of the contributors and translators who have helped make Wikimedia material available to a global audience.
