Wikipedia Lab in Thessaloniki

The Wikimedia Community User Group Greece and GreekLUG organize a seminar with the title Wikipedia Lab of three weekly three-hour courses beginning on Saturday 14 March.Wikipedia Lab Wikipedia Lab Wikipedia Lab

The subject of the seminar is the introduction and an in-depth look at contributing to Wikipedia as well as an introduction to Wikipedia's other sister ventures, such as Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata. The lessons are independent and the absence of one does not burden the understanding of the following ones. The course format includes on-site hands-on demonstration and practice in using the Wikipedia editing environment and all related functions.

Η Wikipedia or Wikipedia is an international, free content, evolving through s encyclopedia, online. It is written collaboratively by volunteers with wiki software, which means that entries can be added or changed by anyone. It is the fifth most visited website in the world.

The Wikimedia Commons it is a repository of images, sounds and other free media files. The Wikidata it is likewise a free, collaborative enterprise and is a cognitive one δομημένων δεδομένων. The seminar is held in his laboratory GreekLUG - Municipal Center for Informatics & Free Software, Egnatia 96 in Pylea, Thessaloniki on 14, 21, and 28 March, 17: 30.
